ROAD
RUNNERS PATROL - DUTIES AND EQUIPMENT
(effective
for 2012 Racing Season)
·
Person or persons having a club patrol (Morning and/or
Afternoon) must sign in at the STARTING LINE before patrol
meeting scheduled for
· Attend the patrol meeting and go directly to your designated position.
· Get patrol signs (2), gloves and fire bottles from the Vice President (Dale Wester).
· Equipment required, to be supplied by you;
1. Screwdriver or dzus tool
2. A 3/16 allen wrench, for new style dzuses
3.
Hacksaw
4.
Half gallon of bottled water
5.
Crowbar
6.
Binoculars
7.
CB Radio and Antenna (must be able to transmit and receive up
to 3 miles)
· Also read and understand the 2012 El Mirage Procedures booklet, and the Patrol Duties Pamphlet. (see below)
Note: At the conclusion of the meet, our patrol person(s), with help from members, must pickup all cones on the Return side of the course, Start Line to the end, including the extra 1/4mi of cones, Return side, beyond the end of the course. A custom Cone Trailer is towed, by us, and used to retrieve cones.
Pickup end of course banners. Do not pickup tall, thin cones (donkey cones) or any metal signs.
Return the Return Side Cone Trailer and cones to the SCTA Compound building and store inside.
Return club equipment, signs, gloves and fire bottles to the Vice President.
